Spicy Baked Fish Fillet

Here’s a bold and flavorful Spicy Baked Fish Fillet recipe — easy to make, loaded with heat and zest, and ready in under 30 minutes!


🔥 Spicy Baked Fish Fillet

Ingredients:

  • 4 white fish fillets (tilapia, cod, snapper, or haddock)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes or hot sauce (optional, for extra kick)

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish

  • Lemon wedges, to serve


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Make the Spice Marinade
    In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, cayenne, cumin, black pepper, chili flakes (if using), and salt.

  3. Coat the Fish
    Pat fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the baking sheet and brush both sides generously with the spice marinade.

  4. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. Garnish and Serve
    Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot with lemon wedges.


🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • With steamed rice, couscous, or quinoa

  • Alongside grilled veggies, mango salsa, or avocado salad

  • Flaked into tacos with cabbage and a spicy mayo


🌶️ Adjust the Heat:

  • For milder flavor: reduce cayenne to 1/4 tsp or swap with smoked paprika.

  • For extra spice: add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of ghost pepper powder if you’re brave.
