Sausage Muffins

Here’s a simple and delicious Sausage Muffins recipe perfect for breakfast, brunch, or meal prep!


🧁 Sausage Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based)

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

  • 1/4 cup diced green onions or chopped spinach (optional)

  • Cooking spray or oil (for greasing muffin tin)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with silicone muffin liners.

  2. Cook the Sausage:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Break it into crumbles. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.

  3. Make the Egg Mixture:
    In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.

  4. Combine Ingredients:
    Stir in the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, and any add-ins like green onions or spinach.

  5. Fill Muffin Tin:
    Divide the mixture evenly among the 12 muffin cups (fill about 3/4 full).

  6. Bake:
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until muffins are set in the center and lightly golden on top.

  7. Cool & Serve:
    Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm or store in the fridge.


🧊 Storage & Reheating Tips:

  • Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

  • Freezer: Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave for 30–60 seconds.
