Ritz Crackers

Posted on June 30, 2025

Ritz Crackers are a classic, buttery, flaky cracker that can be used in all kinds of recipes—especially for toppings, crusts, or savory bakes. If you’re referring to using Ritz Crackers in a recipe, here are a few great ways to include them, especially in comfort food dishes like casseroles:

🥘 Popular Ways to Use Ritz Crackers in Recipes

1. Casserole Topping

Crumble Ritz Crackers and mix with melted butter to make a golden, crunchy topping for casseroles.

Basic Ratio:

  • 1 sleeve of Ritz Crackers (about 30 crackers), crushed
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
👉 Mix and sprinkle over any casserole before baking (like mac & cheese, broccoli chicken bake, or green bean casserole).

2. Stuffing Substitute

Crushed Ritz can be used in place of breadcrumbs or stuffing mix in recipes like meatloaf, meatballs, or stuffing casseroles.

3. Chicken Coating (Ritz Cracker Chicken)

Use crushed Ritz as a crispy coating for baked chicken.

Simple Recipe:

  • Dip chicken breasts or tenders in melted butter
  • Press into crushed Ritz Crackers (season with garlic powder, salt, pepper)
  • Bake at 375°F for 25–30 mins until golden and cooked through.

4. Ritz Cracker Pie Crust (Savory or Sweet!)

Use crushed Ritz for a unique pie crust for savory pies like tomato pie or even sweet pies for a salty-sweet contrast.

Basic Savory Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz Crackers
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • Press into a pie dish and bake at 350°F for 8–10 mins before filling.
