Pecan Pie Brownies Recipe

Here’s a rich and decadent Pecan Pie Brownies recipe the perfect combo of fudgy chocolate brownies and gooey pecan pie topping. Great for holidays or anytime you want something indulgent!


🍫 Pecan Pie Brownies Recipe

⭐️ Servings: 12–16 brownies

⏱️ Total Time: ~1 hour


Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

(Or use 1 box of brownie mix + ingredients on box for quicker version)


For the Pecan Pie Topping:

  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup (or maple syrup for variation)

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.


2. Make the Brownie Base:

  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined.

  2. Add eggs and vanilla; stir until smooth.

  3. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix just until no dry streaks remain.

  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out.

→ Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from oven (it won’t be fully baked – that’s okay!).


3. Prepare the Pecan Topping:

  1. In a new bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, flour, salt, and vanilla until smooth.

  2. Stir in chopped pecans.


4. Assemble and Bake Again:

  • Carefully pour pecan mixture over partially baked brownie base.

  • Spread evenly.

  • Return to oven and bake for 25–30 more minutes, or until the topping is set and golden.


5. Cool completely

Let cool in pan for at least 2 hours (or refrigerate to speed it up) before slicing. This helps the pecan layer set properly.
