Ferrero Rocher flan

A Ferrero Rocher Flan sounds amazing! It’s like a luxurious fusion of the classic creamy caramel flan with the nutty, chocolatey goodness of Ferrero Rocher. Here’s a recipe that blends both to create a decadent dessert:

Ferrero Rocher Flan Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Caramel:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

For the Flan:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 Ferrero Rocher chocolates (chopped or roughly crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional, for extra chocolatey flavor)

Instructions:

1. Make the Caramel:

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
  • Once dissolved, increase the heat and bring it to a boil. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes without stirring until it turns a golden amber color.
  • Carefully pour the hot caramel into the bottom of your flan mold or individual ramekins. Swirl to coat the bottom evenly, then set aside to cool and harden.

2. Prepare the Flan Custard:

  • In a blender or mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Blend or whisk until smooth and combined.
  • Add the chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates into the mixture and pulse a couple of times to mix them in. If you want a deeper chocolate flavor, you can add cocoa powder here as well.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed (the caramel will also add sweetness).

3. Assemble and Bake:

  • Pour the flan custard mixture into the prepared caramel-coated mold (or ramekins).
  • Prepare a water bath: Place the flan mold in a larger baking dish and add hot water around the flan until it comes halfway up the sides of the mold.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • The flan should be set but still jiggly when you gently shake the pan.

4. Chill and Serve:

  • Allow the flan to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan, place a plate on top, and invert. The caramel should flow over the top as a delicious sauce.
  • Garnish with extra crushed Ferrero Rocher chocolates or grated chocolate for an even more indulgent touch.

Serving Tips:

  • This flan is already a showstopper, but you could also drizzle some chocolate sauce or whipped cream on top to add even more flair!
  • You could also serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a true dessert indulgence.
