Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants

Posted on June 18, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants — flaky, buttery croissants stuffed with savory ham and melty cheese. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a tasty snack!

🥐 BAKED HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANTS

Serves: 6

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Bake Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (usually 8 croissants)

  • 6–8 slices deli ham

  • 6–8 slices Swiss, cheddar, or your favorite cheese

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Optional: Dijon mustard or mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the Dough:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.

  3. Assemble Croissants:

    • If desired, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard or mayo on each triangle.

    • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the wide end of each triangle.

    • Roll up from the wide end toward the point, tucking in the sides as you roll to keep fillings inside.

  4. Egg Wash:
Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush over the tops of the rolled croissants. This gives a beautiful golden finish.

  5. Bake:
Place croissants on the baking sheet, spaced apart. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

  6. Serve:
Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.

Tips:

  • Add some herbs like thyme or oregano inside for extra flavor.

  • Use ham off the bone or smoked ham for the best taste.

  • Substitute cheese with mozzarella or pepper jack for a twist
