Baked Donuts Recipe

Here’s a simple and delicious Baked Donuts recipe — light, fluffy, and easy to customize with your favorite flavors or glazes! 🍩✨


🍩 Easy Baked Donuts

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🥄 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
    350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan (silicone or metal).
  2. Mix dry ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients:
    In another bowl, beat milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Combine:
    Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do NOT overmix; batter will be thick.
  5. Fill donut pan:
    Spoon or pipe batter into donut cavities, filling each about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake:
    12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  7. Cool:
    Let donuts cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

🍫 Optional Glaze Ideas:

  • Classic Vanilla Glaze:
    Mix 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-2 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Dip warm donuts.
  • Chocolate Glaze:
    Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips with 1 tbsp butter, stir smooth, dip donuts.
  • Cinnamon Sugar:
    Brush warm donuts with melted butter, toss in cinnamon sugar mix.

💡 Tips:

  • Use a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped for neat filling.
  • Add mix-ins like sprinkles, cocoa powder (substitute some flour), or lemon zest to batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temp for 2 days or freeze.
